use a document, but also includes copy protection that is
secure from all methods of save and copy including Printscreen and screen capture.
ArtistScope DRM can be applied to web pages and also to documents that have been
downloaded or distributed on CD. This web site provides
hosted DRM services and demo accounts for evaluation of ArtistScope DRM.
Overview
CopySafe PDF is the most secure solution for the copy protection of PDF files and the only solution that can protect
documents from all avenues of copy including Printscreen and screen capture.
There are many PDF viewers are available including Adobe PDF that claim protection but
can only offer print, password and expiry, and being a generic PDF format their
content can easily be extracted by one of the many free tools available on the
Internet. However CopySafe PDF cannot be extracted and its passwords and other
security settings cannot be modified without destroying the documents
accessibility.
Different levels of protection can be applied in your settings for each or all documents. PDFs can be converted for general
distribution and still be copy protected, or they can be converted for restricted use
by employing one the DRM add-on services.
General Copy Protection
CopySafe
PDF documents are protected from all methods of saving including
Printscreen and screen capture. Includes optional password, expiration and watermark.
While viewed using the CopySafe PDF Reader, they cannot be copied by any means
and printing can be disabled. However to prevent copy of the file itself for
redistribution you need to also use one the ArtistScope DRM options
Document Rights Management (DRM)
When a PDF is tagged for DRM then the Reader will send a unique identifier to your online database for positive/negative response and display PDF accordingly.
- limit users who can view a document
- limit display count per user
- limit print count per user
- set password
- set expiry date validated by GMT
- approve/remove user
DRM control and author permissions
- owner is god of all documents, groups and users
- admins are able to create unlimited groups
- admins are able to add unlimited documents for use by their own groups/users
- admins are able to add unlimited users to their own groups
- admins are able to assign authors to their groups
- authors are able to add documents for their groups/user members of those
groups
- users are able to access any documents assigned to them or their group
- demo users are allowed to upload and manage test documents
- demo user accounts can expire within * days
- user accounts can expire when/if expiry date set or hits are used up
- documents, groups and users can expire if their admin account expires
- god and admin can suspend any of their documents, groups or users at any time
Viewing copy protected and DRM protected documents
To view a CopySafe PDF document all you need to do is double click the file (if
the reader is installed).
